RE + F-C, I’m not sure that this is a good example of either the fear of crime or my bravery. More like:

– crime lurks around any corner (even at 10.30am on a suburban street) and is often perpetrated by idiots
– I am fearlessly stupid in the face of such idiots

And you’re very gallant F-C, chasing bag thieves down roads.

You’re very brave. Who knows what might have happened.

I once chased a bag thief down the road and got the bag back. It was only when other people told me what a big risk I’d took that it sunk in.

This is a good example of how the fear of something happening is often worse than the actuality. I hope for your sake he didn’t actually have real life AIDS in there. He was probably all talk.
